Dianne is trained in Family and Narrative Therapy and in grief an grief resolution. Her work over the years has involved grief work with many clients, in particular related to illness and loss of health.Her own experience with ME (chronic fatigue syndrome) has been significant in her life.. After enjoying a teaching career she trained as a family therapist in the 1980's. Then employed as a family therpist and counsellor for Presbyterian Support Services.Later she was Manager of Counselling Services and then established a new counselling and budgeting service in Auckland. This was followed by tutoring in a counselling training programme with responsibilty for the grief component andf then a private counselling practice in a rural area.Dianne"s work has been influenced by narrative therapy, developed by Michael White in Australia and David Epston in New Zealand."It is in storying our lives that we are able to make sense of our exoerience."
